I don't think there's any harm in bypassing the switch. I doubt there are any electronics in the motor to damage. Give it a brief bump with 12v and see if it reacts. See below....

The diagram shows 2 black wires going from the switch to the motor, which is odd. The blue wire on the switch seems to handle that job, and appears to be constant power. The diagram lists that as "P", so I'm going to guess that is the park circuit.

The other 2 wires are possibly variable speed and high speed, but that job could be handled with only one wire, so that's a bit confusing too. Try both of those wires and see what happens. If nothing happens it could be cold related (it's been bitter cold out here), or it's a bad motor. Make sure the circuit breaker is working properly.
