Many suppliers are selling ethanol free gas now, depending on where you live I guess.
Several stations have it in my county, priced more than ethanol gas but as you say it is bad for normal rubber in small engines especially, and doesn't stay fresh very long.
In my case I have space (have )a small farm), and I bought a 100 gallon tank. My supplier will deliver free 100 gallons and up purchases of alcohol free gas.
It is 89 octane.
I use it in all my small engines and also in my Power Wagons that don't get driven very much.
Another option of course is to bring several 5 gallon cans to a station selling it, to use back home.
