I'll give you a couple of tips from experience that will help you. Get yourself a carbide burr as shown. Use this to chamfer the the end of the line. You just take out enough to barely see any angle on the tube. A drill bit will "work" but not ideal as it will leave a high ridge/burr on the end of the tube. Get a good quality tubing cutter too. Cutting with hacksaw is not good. The height you leave the tube sticking out of the clamp is CRITICAL. They will have instructions and the die is your guide. You make the length flush with the step normally as it will show. When tightening the tube in the clamp, completely tighten the hinge end first. Bottom it out. Then bottom the other end out. I found the standard wing nuts provided were too small and too weak . I ended up breaking them. I turned out some and crossdrilled them do I basically had a T handle. More critical when doing stainless lines as they require nore clamping force to make the flare correctly. Not as much of an issue with normal stuff. If a line moves/slips any from from your starting point, you'll have to start over. Oh yeah....don't forget to put your fittings on before flaring too. Normally not a question of if it will happen, it's when it will happen. LOL Always blow you lines out too before installing.
