If it's a new copper one side, paper other gasket, the block and head have to be in good shape or it won't be long before it leaks. I would spray the head to fill the groves, but there isn't much compression in the area of the rings against the head gasket when assembled. If you let it dry, you would need to go over it with a sanding disk to even it out so you don't end up with high areas, 0.006 is max warpage before needing the head saved so you need to keep that in mind. Personally, I would use pipe joint compound in those fire groves, one that is 6,000 pounds per square inch holding power during assembly, combustion produces 2,500 to 3,000 per square inch in the chamber. I've used it on a low area between cylinders 5 & 6 and it does the trick with a copper, both sides head gasket. Make sure you clean the valve stems of any oil or you could end up with stuck valves again.
