Sounds like he's going to be a good owner. I guess you might as well introduce him to the PIF file for parts and guidance, and to page 203 of the PIF that lists the lubricants for the Power-Wagons. He needs to make sure any oil/grease he uses it has to be safe for yellow metal (transmission, differentials, steering box and steering knuckles). He also needs to make sure he adds zinc (ZDDP) to the engine oil on oil changes since engine oils today don't not have zinc included unless you buy oil that specifically states it has it, it protects against engine wear and is required for older engines. A bottle of STP has the zinc ZDDP included and it's good protection against engine wear. For the cooling system, ZEREX by Valvoline, Original green for 1991 and prior vehicles antifreeze, and a bottle of RMI-25 for cleaning, inhibiting corrosion, conditioning, lubricating the water pump, these can be bought off Amazon as most places don't carry that version of the ZEREX and RMI-25. I would stick with the lube chart and not go with lighter oils, except in cold climates, and the greater clearances between parts required the heavier oils for protection and to minimize wear. If he keeps his truck maintained, it will last a long time as it has.
