Absolutely I’ve bought & sold lots of vehicles online these guys know. I’m in Canada & 90% of the good vehicles are in the US & when selling, Canadians just have no idea of the value of them so I think I’ve sold every vehicle back into the US. I’ve also bought a truck from Jerry & sent him full payment for it, although I did drive 10hrs & come & get it in 2 feet of snow lol. So Jerry’s WDX…I mean we’ve all watched Jerry with this truck for 20 years on Joes forum here & Jerry is one of the good guys here. I’m not 100% sure but I’d guess Jerry’s been here almost since forum #1…his word is good but to be honest, I mean just get Jerry to send you 100 pictures to make sure the truck is as you expect it to be. It’s not like Jerry is scamming anyone..but I mean Jerry’s not responsible for the truck arriving 2000 miles away. That’s between you & your transport company & personally I’d put a binder of insurance on it even though most reputable transport companies have their own policy…it’s just safe insurance.
Problem with escrow is people just use it as a way to renegotiate the price. Truck arrives 2000 miles away & if you’re not happy with it for whatever reason…what does Jerry do?? It’s just not a good system.
I’ve bought many high end vehicles off BAT. Lots of pics. That’s the best way to know you’re getting what you paid for & a reputable transport company. 2000 miles is going to cost you probably $3500 to ship the truck but if it’s mine it doesn’t leave my driveway until the cash is in my bank.
I hope you guys can work a deal. She’s a great ol truck. Would love to come get it myself if I wasn’t overloaded with Power Wagons!
