Looking for a running 230 engine

Got a client who brought his M37 to me for a head gasket. Turns out he needs more than that, his engine is worn out.
He is a farm worker and can't swing a rebuild.
So, I told him I would ask around and see if I could find a good takeout engine not far from Vermont. I'm going to the slate valley rally and could pick up there, or maybe drive to pick up.
