June 2, 2026 - The Carryall will be at the Fairfield Iowa Power Wagon Rally the rest of this week.
1941 Dodge WC 10 Carryall
This truck has a long and interesting life. Shortly after being built, I was told that it was transported to the Northwest, and was involved the construction of the Alcan Highway. The project began in February of 1942, and opened in October 1942. A historic photo was taken of an identical Carryall used for a commemorative 50th Anniversary US Postal stamp in 1992.
To the best of my knowledge it has never been restored, only driven patched and painted as needed through the years. The previous owner said the engine had been rebuilt prior to my purchase. I've owned and driven it 13+ years, less than 5,000 miles total. It has been parked in a climate controlled garage during my entire ownership. It has always started instantly when driven weekly. It has the driver's seat, jump seat, and middle seat. The only modification has been a carefully welded steel top replacing the original fabric covered panel. Of course, turn signals and tail light upgrades were added for safety.
If a guy was looking for a Carryall to restore as original as possible, this would be the ideal choice. You can enjoy it daily if you wish, restoring gradually as time and budget allow. I searched for decades to find one to restore in much, much, worse condition and it needed everything. The Carryall has a transferable title.
