I have been trying to figure out how to compose this comment without causing offense, so I hope I can be successful.
Those seats are 76 years old. When they were first called upon to do their job, the average man was about 5' 8" and 150#. I have shrunk from 6' 2" to maybe 6' and weigh close to 235#. I had my seat reconditioned and recovered 15 years ago. I can hear the springs crying out when I get into my '46 WDX. :)
