We have a Pertronix in our M37 (24v) and it works great. The engine seems to idle smoother now. I'm curious what you didn't like about yours.
There were a batch of bad 12v M37 coils made many years ago, and they got a bad reputation. If Midwest is carrying new ones they are probably good. As you say Kaegi, a 12v coil in the M37 distributor is the best of both worlds. We kept our M37 24v so we could keep the waterproof ignition.
