Personally, I would look for a new casting only as a last resort.

Are you going to be running a much more powerful engine in the truck, or is it the original engine? Is this a show truck, a beat around work truck, or a daily driver? Most importantly is this a WDX-WM300 model Power-Wagon, a military Dodge, a Power Giant, or a sweptline?

I ask because my comments down below focused on the WDX-WM300 model civilian Power-Wagon. Their 3rd members are the same for both the front and rear axle housings, as are the military Dodges.

If it is a WDX-WM300 or military truck you are working on, I personally would rebuild your other differential. Then, see which one has the best tooth contact pattern on the pressure side of the teeth when installed in the rear housing. If the other one is not as good of tooth contact, put it in the front. It will have the pressure side on the other sides of the teeth anyway. Even if this is a work truck, you probably may not be using 4-wheel drive as much as you you will be using 2-wheel drive, so the front will not be as much of a concern as the rear.
