Guys,

So some background on my gear set. I got a new gear set from VPW so it is not a MOPAR part. I needed to replace because someone over the years left water in the differential and severely pitted half of the ring and some of the pinion teeth.

I can confirm I have the correct preload on the pinion and i followed the adjustment method for the ring gear in the manual. I get the tooth pattern like i posted before. I spent sunday playing around with the spacers to vary the pinion preload (all with in spec 35 - 70) and can confirm after all that work nothing changed my tooth pattern.

I do have a second set (as i am doing the front diff also) so I am going to try swapping out the gear set and see if that changes the tooth pattern.

I guess I am looking for advise here. If i cant get the correct tooth pattern even on the new gear set do I look for a new casting??

Thanks
Glenn
