The bulletin does not say how the front was raised at the factory. The washers are a field mod.
I see now the parts manual states the rear engine mounting brackets, retainers, spacers, and bolts were changed in 1951 at truck #83919230. The bolt springs were also eliminated. The VPWs catalog calls the left bracket the Master Cylinder Mounting Bracket and states that it is only for 1946-50. The Helitool kits acknowledge that their V8 mounts may need to be modified to maintain optimum driveline angles. It is not clear if they were designed for early or late trucks. We had to modify them in my 1967 years ago.
So, it seems that the transfer case mounts were not changed after the first 720 trucks. The 1951 change was in the rear engine mounts. The front engine mounting plate and insulator did not change until installation of the 251.
