I see and/or hear about more and more rear PTOs and belt pulleys being discovered as time goes by, usually only after a transaction has already taken place.

This is a good thing as it shows that a lot more trucks were ordered with these that what was assumed just a few years ago. However, the findings have had the unfortunate result of increasing the value exponentially. One would think that supply and demand would temper this, but in this case, an increase in supply has somehow increased demand and the asking and selling prices have shot up as well.

I am not aware of anyone making reproduction parts other than the pillow block covers that Marty made some years ago. Just to make the needed tooling would be a substantial investment. It is anyone's guess how many reproduction parts would have to be sold just to recoup the tooling cost.

One trick that has always worked for me is to give up and make my own "reproduction" part or assembly. Nine times out of ten, as soon as I do that, an original will show up for my to buy.
