Mistake, mistake. Sorry Ray, That 20 million dollar mansion is not east of the bridge, but to the west.
So far the winter has not been to bad here, but they say we are going to get 10 or 12 inches between midnight tonight and Sunday. I have a Massey Ferguson 250, 40 hp tractor with a big bucket, 800 pound counterweight, and Trigg chains, so I can handle that pretty easy.
The Gravenhurst area, which is about 100 miles north of Toronto got hit with two bad storms back earlier in the winter, 4 to 5 feet, yes feet, the first time, and then about three weeks later they got another 3 feet. That would be lake effect snow from Georgina Bay off Lake Huron. It's one thing to handle that amount of snow, but for a lot of people, where do you put it?
I am also familiar with that snow belt just south of Watertown off the east end of Lake Ontario. We got caught up in that once.
Spring is coming and the maple sap will be running soon. Love that maple syrup. JJB.
