I am trying to wake up my 1953 PW after a 20+ year nap. I had fuel pump issues 20 years ago. My question is: Do I install the pump with the sediment bowl up or down? I bought a new Carter M2091 from Amazon Flow Dealz and it ran fine for 10 minutes, then quit pumping. I installed it sediment bowl down like my 48 Plymouth and several of my antique tractors and engines. The picture on Amazon and in the sparce instruction sheet show the sediment bowl up??? https://www.amazon.com/Carter-M2091-Mechanical-Fuel-Pump/dp/B001G12SQQ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 Could this be the problem? I dont see how a sediment bowl would work pointing up.
I am confused, Help. Thanks, Kurt
