Welcome to the distinguished group of Power Wagon owners. You will get all the information you need here.
First of all a "wench" is a term used to describe a "loose or illicit" woman. Not a kind term to apply to any part of your Power Wagon. :)
What you have is a "winch", and the hazards involved with incorrect usage are numerous.
Please look on the Home Page and find the "books". You should be able to purchase a manual for your truck that will describe the functions and operations of the pto lever, the winch, and the transfer case shift levers. Amazon is another source for these manuals.
The first thing you should do is locate the knob on the winch that disengages the drum so as to prevent damaging the worm gear or something else by accidentally engaging. Get some good penetrating oil and start loosening all of the joints and connections associated with this project.
Good luck.
