Hi Bill. I have not experienced this issue after rebuild, but I'm wondering two things.
Did the steering knuckles rotate at 25ft pounds with a torque wrench on one of the bearing cap nuts without felt seals installed?
Has steering box been rebuilt? Is there significant backlash before gear engages?
