Agree! That hydroboost makes for a very long assembly that needs very stable base. Any vacuum booster needs the same. The hydroboost is so much more powerful than any vacuum booster.

On my carryall which has hanging peddles and a hydoboost I did the following. I mounted the hanging peddles on the inside of the fire wall then matched it on the engine side with a 1/4" steel plate. The stock dash brace acts as a top brace for the 1/4" plate and then I add braces to the bottom of the hanging peddle mount back to the steering column mount. That gives me a support triangle with is about the strongest you can do. The 1/4" plate and the peddle mount are bolted to each other through the firewall. I then welded a heavy wall square tube that was cut and drilled to provide a mount for the hydroboost. Then I mounted the clutch master cylinder next to that. There is no flex in that mount and I don't have to worry about cracking the firewall as it gets very little stress. I have not noticed any flexing movement.

When I connected the brake and clutch lines I bent each line into a spiral with three loops. They go down from the cylinders and connect into their distribution lines. This provides a little flex in the lines if it is needed without stressing the connections to the master cylinders. The hydoboost lines are fine as they are metal at the ends with rubber hose in the center.

This system has been in place for over 20 years and there have been zero issues or leaks. There is no flex in or between the hydroboost and master cylinder. If there is flex anywhere in the system you will eventually get metal fatigue cracks and breakage. Not what you want in your brake system.
