Keep in mind you're driving a vehicle who's drivetrain was designed for the Military in WW2. According to the Army's TM 31-200 covering maintenance and care of pneumatic tires and rubber treads, 100% of normal tire wear is achieved at 35mph. As you increase your speed on these trucks, as well as taking corners at higher speeds, tire wear is increased. So if you're driving the truck at 55-60mph, you're reducing the tire life to 51%. Because of the caster design of 1-1/4 to 1-3/4 degrees the tires will wear faster and more around corners at higher speeds. This probably has resulted in wear on the front tires and why they have balanced out and are working ok. The best of the Military Michelins for long wear is the XZL radial tire.
