Air horn, throttle linkage leak

Tinkering with my PW I discovered a piece of wood stuck in the Air Horn. This seems weird as I believe the Air horn should be clear.
Also I am leaking gas at the throttle linkage. In my diagram(s) in the manual I don't see gasket or packing material where the linkage enters the carb. Thoughts appreciated!
