Hi, Working on swapping a Chrysler 242 into my 1966 FFPW with a cracked 251 block. Have had the 242 engine for 2 years, supposedly out of a running car. Seller says he drained all the fluids before shipping. It's been stored inside for 2 years. I did not check it for turning when I got it, but now its locked and the pics show why. I took the head off yesterday, no water in the head.
It looks like the water did not leak in past the head gasket, so where did it come from?
Should I even consider rebuilding this block?
