So, my family kept asking, "When will the truck be finished?", or, "Is the truck finished?" My answer, "No, it isn't finished, and I have no idea when it will be finished. I have never restored a truck before." That is close to the response that I use to give them when they would ask about the staircase I was building in our last house, and most of them learned that meant that I really did have no idea of when the project would be finished, and when it was finished I did tell them.
They have learned, so now they ask, "How is the truck coming along?" Well, yesterday my reply was, "I only have four more small holes to fill in the floorpan, so I will probably be done with welding up the floorpan, and can move on to the bodywork on the rest of the cab." When I was finished welding up the four holes, I positioned the cab so the sun would be hitting the floorpan, and got in the cab, because that is how I check for pinholes. And there were two more pinholes. So much for thinking that I am ever going to be done with anything.
