Yesterday I was fishing on Pend Oreille River. There was a pretty big brush fire about 30 miles south. All day there were a couple of Fire Boss planes circling around, scooping water from the river and dumping it on the fire. These planes have 1600 hp, can scoop 800 gallons in 6000 ft distance. I didn't get close enough to get a decent picture, so I didn't interfere with their work, but if interested Google Fire Boss plane. They look like the Power Wagons of the air borne fire fighters.
